Here we are three years later, and I’m updating the map for the permaculture design project at Tir Ceòlmhor.
Our homestead was always intended to be a living, dynamic project … changing, modifying, responding … as our knowledge and understanding of the land has grown and the climate has changed. Resiliency is a necessary part of sustainability!
Much has changed on the homestead over the ten years we have lived here. We built our cabin on the site in 2015. Here is the Google satellite image from 2019 — although the herring skiff is visible on the beach, the cabin is completely hidden by the trees.
By comparison, here is the satellite image from the summer of 2024.
Quite a change, eh?
So, without further ado, here is the 2024 permaculture map. To read the labels clearly, select “View Fullscreen” and set the zoom to 200%.
Here are the codes for the map.
