{"id":8125,"date":"2019-07-09T12:42:52","date_gmt":"2019-07-09T19:42:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oceanecology.ca\/wp\/?p=8125"},"modified":"2021-04-26T14:23:00","modified_gmt":"2021-04-26T21:23:00","slug":"a-seadog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oceanecology.ca\/wp\/2019\/07\/09\/a-seadog\/","title":{"rendered":"A Seadog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An oceanographer needs a seadog &#8230; and it looks like I&#8217;ve got one!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Brennan met the sea full on today, a true baptism in salt water &#8230; and discovered he could swim (a good thing, this).\u00a0 No, we didn&#8217;t throw him overboard.\u00a0 We were walking along the beach, with Brennan cavorting along as he loves to do.\u00a0 He likes to bite at the waves as they break along the shore, or jump in the still water when he sees his reflection.\u00a0 Today, he suddenly went charging out into the water full tilt &#8230; one bound, two bounds, three bounds &#8230; I guess he didn&#8217;t realize that the further he went out the deeper the water got.\u00a0 On his fourth bound, his feet didn&#8217;t touch bottom, and suddenly he was swimming.
