Wow! Things got a little scary here! Just recovered from a chimney fire. Thankfully, the cabin (and the two of us) survived!
Designing a solar system for Hauldrÿn (officially HIP 18433) was one of the first world building tasks that I set for myself. Hauldrÿn is the home sun for a number of the major characters in my novel, and having a good working knowledge of this system will assist in many of my descriptive scenes.

Here’s my second installment of background information … written from Eldranth’s point of view. For those who missed the first graphic novel, please go back to this post.
Here is the star map for the Ll’Ellendrÿn region in a bit more detail. This is a flattened, and somewhat figurative diagram, something like the old, artistic world maps for Earth (I didn’t put “Here there be dragons”, but that’s kind of the gist of things).
So … I’ve been doing lots of world building for my first novel. After getting it three-quarters written, I started having many questions that needed consistent answers, thus the exercise in creating a detailed background supported by a significant amount of research.
